Barratt Developments is to move from Buchanan Gate in Stepps to Maxim Park near Glasgow in North Lanarkshire after 17 years.
It will relocate its 80-strong West Scotland team to Maxim Park following the completion of an office fit-out programme in April.
The move comes after the housebuilder, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, signed a 10-year lease on 9,000 square feet of office space within the third floor of Maxim 7 with landlord, Shelborn Asset Management.
All aspects of business support for Barratt Development’s West Scotland division will be carried out from the new office, including land, design, engineering, sales and construction administration, finance, and customer care.
David Scott, managing director of Barratt and David Wilson Homes West Scotland, said: "At the end of our lease at Buchanan Gate we wanted to find a new site that would enable us to bring all our team members together onto one floor.
"Not only does the new office space we are taking in Maxim 7 fulfil that objective, but it has excellent transport links and offers a central location that is ideal for both staff and guests. It is expected the relocation will be completed by the summer."
Luxury spa and massage salon, Revive the Key to Wellness, award-winning renewables firm Muirhall Energy, and Mighty Rick’s Gym from Scottish legend and former world champion boxer Ricky Burns, have made the move to Maxim Park over the last few months.
Caroline Baillie, Maxim’s director of park services, said: "It’s been a busy few months for us at Maxim Park as we’ve been thrilled to welcome several new organisations to our community, and it’s our pleasure to add Barratt Developments to that number.
"We’re looking forward to helping the team settle into their new surroundings with the help of our packed and varied events schedule, which includes professional development workshops, craft activities, charity initiatives, drive-in cinema listings and a range of health and wellness initiatives."
Maxim Park, which boasts 760,000 sq ft of quality office and retail space close to the M8 motorway on the fringes of Glasgow, forms part of Eurocentral and was acquired by Shelborn Asset Management in 2018.
Over the past five years the office park has welcomed a raft of new tenants including LumiraDX, Aureum Diagnostics, TClarke, Linear Group and Sartorius.
MC² and CBRE acted for the landlord, with Ryden acting for Barratt.
